Traditional hammam in Rabat: what does a session include?

Have you booked or are you considering booking a hammam in Rabat and wondering exactly how the session unfolds? The Moroccan hammam ritual is a succession of precise steps designed to purify the skin and relax the body. Here is the typical flow of a traditional session at BE CUTE SPA.

1. Welcome and preparation

Upon your arrival at our spa in Rabat Agdal, you are welcomed in a calm and warm atmosphere. We provide your bath set (towel, bathrobe, sandals). You have a private locker room to change peacefully before entering the warm room.

2. Acclimatization to the heat

The ritual begins with a moment of relaxation in the hot room. This step, lasting about 10 to 15 minutes, opens the pores of your skin and begins to release muscle tension.

3. Application of black soap

The practitioner applies natural black soap all over your body, often mixed with a "tebrima" (a blend of Moroccan aromatic plants). This ancestral product prepares the skin for exfoliation by softening dead skin.

4. Exfoliation with the Kessa glove

This is the key step of the Traditional Hammam. Using a rough kessa glove, the practitioner vigorously exfoliates the entire body. This removes impurities and boosts blood circulation.

5. Soaping and rinsing

After the scrub, you are rinsed with hot water. This is followed by a gentle and relaxing soaping, often scented with orange blossom, along with a shampoo. It is time to surrender to absolute cleanliness.

6. Rest and rehydration

Once the ritual is complete, you head to our relaxation area. Moroccan mint tea is offered to rehydrate your body and prolong this moment of calm.
